Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer II applies intermediate-to-advanced engineering principles and established manufacturing systems and procedures to optimize, redesign, and support manufacturing processes. This role leads moderately complex process improvements, validations, and technical problem-solving initiatives while providing guidance to technicians and contributing to cross-functional projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities
Optimize and improve manufacturing processes by applying engineering methodologies such as Six Sigma and LEAN, including the redesign or design of equipment, tools, fixtures, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Develop, execute, and analyze moderately complex experiments and tests to qualify and validate manufacturing processes, including protocol development, data analysis, technical reporting, and recommendation of corrective or improvement actions.

Analyze, investigate, and resolve moderately complex manufacturing and compliance issues, including non-conformances, CAPA activities, and audit observations, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation and training materials, including work instructions, to support effective knowledge transfer and standardized production practices.

Establish and manage project plans to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet customer, quality, and operational expectations, utilizing project management tools such as risk analysis and project plans.

Provide technical oversight for manufacturing support activities by instructing technicians on test execution, delivering training, coordinating workloads, and providing performance feedback.

Manage the end-to-end process to ensure fixture and tool readiness for manufacturing operations, including supplier coordination, purchasing, installation, qualification, and final validation.

Perform activities across multiple systems and platforms to ensure seamless manufacturing operations and effective support of business processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, as well as external vendors, to support manufacturing objectives.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.



Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related scientific field (required).

Previous experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a regulated production environment preferred.



Required Skills and Competencies
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project; CAD experience preferred where applicable.

Working knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN manufacturing principles, and process improvement methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage moderately complex technical challenges.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear technical documentation and reports.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Good understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and validation requirements relevant to assigned work.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and safety standards.

Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and interact professionally across all organizational levels.

Capability to guide and support technicians and junior team members through instruction, training, and feedback.
