ABSTRACT:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of innovative design solutions for our products. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, advanced technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
This role coordinates and documents the development process of assigned projects, organizes and participates in testing and validation of projects, either on site or at the client’s plant, and provides technical support to the client when necessary.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Design and Development: Receive conceptual proposals generated by other collaborators and complete the corresponding design process control forms. Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed design models and drawings. Ensure designs meet all technical specifications and regulatory requirements.

Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of design concepts using FEA and CFD tools to optimize performance and ensure structural integrity. Design and basic calculations of pipe sealing solutions, primarily at the detailed level, but may also participate at the conceptual level.

Project Management: Coordinate and lead design projects from concept to design completion, including interactions with PMO for planning, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely delivery.

Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to integrate design solutions into production processes. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product lifecycle. Offer problem-solving ideas to optimize mechanical designs and present alternatives that improve production efficiency.

Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and user manuals. Prepare detailed product drawings for use in both prototypes and production. Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates. Comply with the ISO:9001_2015 standard in all aspects related to the management system.

Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Propose and implement innovative design solutions to enhance product performance and competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in product design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), FEA and CFD tools, and other relevant engineering software. Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes.

Language: Must be proficient in English (minimum B2).
